Make It Monday | Fall Flower Crown

Outer Boundary DIY Fall Flower CrownThis spring and summer the flower crown trend exploded. I hadn’t gotten around to making one for myself during the warmer months, but I still wanted to give it a try. This past weekend I finally made my way over to my local Michaels store to pick up the supplies needed. While I was there I decided to see if this trend would translate over well into the fall. So, I picked out some faux flowers that I thought would work well for the season. Below you will find step by step instructions along with a view of the final product.

HOW TO

1) First take your wire and make a loop so it wraps around your head comfortably, leave a little bit of length on either end so you can twist them together. The kind of wire that I picked up was precut so in order to make it fit I had to use two pieces.

2) Once you have the wire adjusted to the right length and the closure twisted, take some of your floral tape and tape down the ends so they don’t poke into your head.

4) Make a small groupings of flowers to see how they look together. Then take a bit of your floral tape (about 4 inches) and wrap it around your wire once.  Place your flowers on the wire and tightly wrap the floral tape around the stems. Continue adding groupings of flowers along the wire until your crown is complete!
